There are a lot of worse things they could be doing with their time! I just can't imagine some of them enjoying going to a Con in full regalia, bumping into things, sweating in layers of fabric, and makeup running and smearing all over the place. I'm 60 and I still cosplay. I don't know if you've noticed or not but when people are in costume they often are totally different than they are out of costume....not as up tight so to speak. But it's ok that you don't get it. Because we also need people like you with all the facts a figures. We LOVE people who can do that.
